Pre-liminary Task Evaluation

We edited our pre-lim task using iMovies, a software which was new to myself and my group members. However, we managed to work our way around and learn the different applications available. We found that our shots were too long, such as a shot in which I walked halfway through the door and paused in order to get the camera on the other side of the door. We found this to be a difficult shot to edit, as one of the aims of this task was to have accurate match-on-action. As we did not have enough time, we decided to leave the shot how it was. Overall, I learnt from this mistake, and took this as a tip for our final piece, which was do not cut the scene halfway through opening a door, and instead allow the character to walk through before cutting, as this slows down the process of editing and makes it difficult.
